A definite must see! The Maria Laach Abbey, founded almost 800 years ago, and now a Benedictine abbey has a lot to offer. Apart from being one of the richest monasteries in Europe, the Romanesque Basilika is one of the best preserved ones of its kind with a a paradise and a crypt. The Abbey has a huge nursery that is open to the public.
