Located on Hwy 56 in Smithville, TN is the Appalachian Center for Craft which is a satellite campus of Tennessee Tech University. Take some time to view the free rotating exhibitions of the regional artists' work, visit the retail gallery for an opportunity to purchase one of a kind, hand made items or consider signing up for a future workshop. You can also grab a great breakfast or lunch at the Blue Water Grill on the Hill which is located in the craft center or dinner which is served on Friday and Saturday nights. If you go, be sure to take some time to stop at the overlook to the right as you drive up.
