Empire is your one stop for great bands, entertainment, tasty food, good drinks and an all around enjoyable night. We are not just a bar, our chef has a fabulous menu that is sure to please your taste buds and your wallet.
Right across the street From the museum! A great place to eat dim sum. Try the green beans, eggplant or honey/walnut shrimp with a nice cozy bowl of ramen:)
Empire is a foodies answer to great Chinese food. The atmosphere is fun and busy. It's not on Portland's most beautiful street but the dumplings are creative and so so good, worth sacrificing a waterfront view.
Locally sourced Chinese dishes & dim sum in a unique space topped by an upstairs music & event hall.
Often a wait but I never mind. Best Chinese food I’ve ever had. With a Maine twist
Amazing modern Chinese food with local Maine ingredients. My favorite thing on their menu are green beans and their hot and sour soup.
“Definitely try to get the Waffle Plate. I would suggest avoiding coming here on a weekend as the wait tends to be one hour or longer. ”
“Eclectic restaurant serving small plates & cocktails in a rustic, brick-walled setting. One of my top 5 favorites. If you stay with us, do ask for a little seating tip that almost guarantees a table.”
“You've probably already heard of Eventide because it's the most highly rated place in Portland, in this case believe the hype. There will most likely be a long wait, so prepare for that before you go, it's worth it. If you're visiting in the off season and visit at unusual hours you may get lucky enough to be seated immediately (it's happened to us a couple of times). You must try the brown butter lobster roll, you won't regret it. They also have a killer late night happy hour if you need a bite after drinking in the Old Port.”
“Go here if you're looking for ramen. They have a small menu, but it's all delicious! Also, of course, a large selection of local beers. This place is a great option for an affordable and filling dinner!”
