If you don’t have time to do the Taylors Mistake walk you can access Godley Head by car for a nice scenic drive. There is a car park at the end of the road. Perfect spot for a picnic or a few photos along the way.

Most amazing views over the city and ocean and into Lyttelton Harbour. Great for sunrises or sunsets.

Drive to Taylors Mistake beach (just beyond Sumner) then walk the popular Godley Heads walkway for stunning ocean, farmland and city views. Allow 1-2 hour return walk from Taylors Mistake carpark. This is also an excellent running trail with undulating hard-packed off road pathways.
