There’s no shortage of historic churches in the communities around Lake Como but chief among them is the romanesque Church of Santa Maria, which dates to the early 12th century and is built in eye-catching black and white marble. Inside are the remains of 5th-century floor mosaics and ethereal frescoes dating from the 13th to the 16th century. The Church of San Vincenzo is directly behind, built between the 17th and 18th centuries on the site of a 5th-century chapel.

La chiesa sorge su quella che può essere definita l'"area sacra" di Gravedona, comprendente anche la vicina parrocchiale di San Vincenzo, quest'ultima caratterizzata da una notevole cripta romanica.

La chiesa è nell'Xi secolo con un bel Battistero li vicino si trova anche la spiaggia d'erba da visitare anche il paese di Gravedona
