Fun place to get a glimpse of urban nature parks. The map is a bit off. The entrance to the parks and trails is off of Benning road. Walk toward the trees and river and look for the sign at the far side of the parking lot. It's a true urban gem! You can take the streetcar from 15th and Benning Road NE and head East, Get off at 25th St NE and walk south/east into the large parking lot.
