Slightly more up-market than the Ivanhoe, the Gardeners has some nice couches, warm fires in the winter and a good menu. They also host the awesome (and free - for now) Open Mic on the first Sunday of the month. Super cool.

Blackheath has two pubs - the Gardeners and the Ivanhoe - both serve meals and have a great mountains atmosphere.

Not a bad place for fish and chips if it is sunny in the day or for a warm meal and beer by the fire after a day of walking
