good if basic walkers pub

Pretty rural pub with excellent food prepared by Chef/Landlord Lindsay Little, who trained with the Roux brothers, in fabulous setting close to the entrance to the Severn Thames Canal Tunnel, which was the world’s greatest engineering project in 1789. Stunning walks in the valley.

A great Sunday roast with locally sourced meats etc . The plus here is there are about 20 miles of walks patted through the glorious countryside

Small old pub nestling in the Sapperton valley which can be reached on foot along the RIver Frome footpath. Approx 1 hour, 15 minutes walk.

The walk along the old canal from Chalford to Sapperton is a favourite with this great pub at the end. The canal walk 3 miles: flat, romantically disused and very very beautiful along the golden valley.
