If you're downtown to see Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower, across the way is a path running along the town brook that will lead you to the mill. There is also a path to Burial Hill nearby. 7 miles from here.

The mill runs on Saturdays and Wednesdays from noon to 3 pm, where you can see our miller grin corn into cornmeal. On non-milling days, let our tour guides show you around and explain the history of the mill from 1636 onwards, discussing the effects local industry had on the environment as well as the steps being taken to preserve the ecology of the Town Brook area today.

The Grist Mill tells the story of the grist (corn grinding) mill built by the Pilgrims in the Plymouth colony. Great little museum if you stop by Sat from 1-3; they are grinding corn then. (You will see the mill moving outside when they are grinding corn.) Stop by for a visit & buy some organic cornmeal for $5. Walk the paved trail to the waterfront and enjoy the herring run along the way.
