This is a more difficult hiking loop, it’s about 8/9 miles and takes about 5-6 hours to complete depending on your hiking style. One of the most popular hikes in NH.
“Discovered in 1808, it will leave you spellbound as you stroll the path from the main walkway through the Flume Gorge and Liberty Gorge. The Flume is a natural granite gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. The total path is 2 miles in length and takes approximately 1.5 hours. You'll see towering moss-covered granite walls rising to a spectacular height of 90 feet, cascading waterfalls, historic covered bridges, glacial pools & boulders and much more.”
“Great place to pick up a trail map, have a bite to eat and hike. We love the fairly easy hike up Elephant's Head nearby. The view from the top of a rock that really does look like an Elephant's head is breathtaking.”
“Beautiful and scenic in the Spring, Summer and Fall! Walk, Bike or Hike on this old railroad trail that follows along a beautiful river. Also enjoy Franconia Falls for a picnic and scenic picture taking.”
“It's walmart...what more to say. If they don't got it, you probably don't need it!”
