AVIS Rent a Car - Cape Town Downtown
Public transport is not readily available so one would have to start by renting a car to get around or Uber is a popular and reliable service locally.
If you are coming from the USA, continental Europe or other places where you drive on the right-hand side of the road, in South Africa we drive on the left. This can be tricky if you are not used to it, especially when you get to traffic circles or need to react on reflex in an emergency.
if you are wanting to do your own driving around to explore for some part of your stay, then I suggest you rent a car, and you can pick one up down the road the road from the flat and return it to airport when you leave
Avis is good for car rental. But you can also download Uber, there is a Red Bus, which does many tours around Cape Town, including Cape Point, Winelands, and V&A Waterfront. My Citi bus is another option if you want local transport. You can view Travelux, which is my company giving tours ,…
I always rent my cars at Avis. They're super friendly, cheap and the cars are reliable and feel like new.
“is where Cape Town's rainbow nation is evident. Barter at the curio stalls and people watch from cafes around the square.”
“Unique bar and theatre. Vintage Decor. Working rotary phones. Intimate live performances upstairs for live music, comedy, drama, readings and more. It’s like a little festival venue all year round. 76 Strand street. .”
