Rock Climbing Spot
Linville Gorge Wilderness
HIKING and/or CLIMBING - Depending on where you go in the gorge, we reccomend budgeting an hour or more of travel time. The Gorge is a hikers and climbers paradise. Breathtaking vistas full of stone walls and crags.
Great little hike with beautiful Views. You can make it more challenging if you want to get your heart pumping a bit and really get a good sweat in.
Plenty of hikes in the gorge. Short Off Trail at the end of Wolf Pit Rd is a favorite, 5 miles, round trip.

“Million dollar view off the top of the Eastern continental divide. Near Blue Ridge Parkway, Little Switzerland and Spruce Pine. Great food prepared by local chef. Not a franchise. Trout, catfish, steaks, chicken, pasta, salads.”
