This is such a unique place, I have always been with others. Its a great place for events - book clubs, poetry readings, etc. but also just a great place in a hip neighborhood to grab a coffee or glass of wine and take in the charm.
One of the best independent book stores in Dallas. If you read, this is your spot.
Located on 8th Street in an old bungalow, this book store/coffee shop/wine bar has a large outdoor seating area with picnic tables. Wooden ramp for strollers and wheelchair accessibility. Occasional poetry readings and book club meetings.
It’s coffee shop meets bar meets bookstore. Be sure to check their calendar because they often hosts local artists and storytellers on their outdoor patio.
“A delicious food menu, craft cocktails, and beer brewed on site. This is a local, super laid back fav. ”
“How lucky are we to have this local treasure, right at the end of our block! Just walk south on N Clinton Avenue, and it will appear like a neon mountain on your left.”
“Historic Movie Theater - It was great being able to visit this historic theatre. I saw "Lawrence of Arabia" for my first time here, and it was fantastic. The theatre has a unique feel to it as you can sense it's grand history as you enter. The staff is nice, and they have different drink and cocktail options available. This is also where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested.”
“It's a neighborhood favorite. Chef Matt Balke does great work. Tuesday nights are 1/2 price bottle of wine nights, that with a flat bread is a great dinner. ”
