Slows Bar-B-Q offers a gourmet take on freshly prepared barbecue, plus an extensive selection of craft brews. Diners can expect wood beam ceilings, exposed brick and an open, airy space.
Really really good slow cooked ribs. Always busy. Sometimes an hour wait time. If that happens, there are other worthy restaurants on the same strip. It's across the street from the old train station that was abandoned and vacant for thirty years and has recently been bought by the Ford Motor…
Best Barbeque in Detroit (in my opinion). They also have a closer Slows to Go, which is just as good, but not a sit down place (although they do have a few benches and counters).
“So it's not the MET, or the Louvre, but it's worth it. It has murals by Diego Rivera,Van Gogh, and some other masterpieces that give an amazing context to past and future artistic experiences.”
“Two James, located in Detroit's Corktown, is the first distillery in Detroit since prohibition. Enjoy an educational tour or sip on one (or two) of their hand crafted cocktails! They don't serve food, but there are frequently food trucks in the parking lot.”
“Local coffee shop. Great baked goods, coffee, and vibes. Bring your camera as this place is made to take pictures of.”
“Classic cocktail bar in a beautiful setting. They won't seat you unless there's room so go early or prepare to wait!”
