Depuis 1896, une cuisine traditionnelle à prix incroyables, le charme unique d'un décor inscrit au répertoire des Monuments Historiques.
Typical french bistrot (the older of paris) good and cheap. It's better to go early or late otherwise you will have to wait in the line.
The place to go for a typical French meal at a tiny price in the oldest restaurant of Paris. A must to be and see! Victim of its success, you have to queue there a bit depending of the time.
Cult adress if you wanna experience a truly old Parisian way of eating: a canteen straight from the 50's with a small menu but only typical dish. Very very affordable (that's also part of the concept).
“This movie theater is part of Paris' history for sure ! In the Art Nouveau style, the cinema still has on of the biggest auditorium in France.”
“Galeries Lafayette is not far away and nice if you want to do some shopping ! ”
“While you visit Montmartre or Covered Galleries, mind to have a stop at Grévin Museum. You will find their many celebrities and modern politicians represented in wax ( and you can take a photo with them!). ”
“French musicals, comedy and dance shows. As you enter the Folies Bergère, the sound of heels on the wooden stage and the voice of Josephine Baker still reverberate...”
“As old-school French as chocolates come, a mendiant’s four classic toppings of raisins, hazelnuts, figs and almonds represent the Dominican, Augustinian, Franciscan and Carmelite monastic orders respectively. Nowadays, possibly reflecting a more secular France, ingredients include seeds, dried fruits and peels. À la mère de famille is the oldest chocolatier in Paris and produces some of its finest mendiants.”
