Point of Interest
“relaxed walk, bike or jog along the river, you can drop in kayak at the fairgrounds (nice small clear river) or along the river with lots of parks to pull out and enjoy a picnic, my favorite is all the way to Currahee Brewing company”
“The Cullasaja Gorge (64 towards Franklin) is a beautiful drive with 3 different waterfalls. In order on the way out of town: Bridal Veil (right - just off the road) Dry Falls (there’s a parking area on the left with a set of stairs down to walk under the falls), and Cullasaja Falls (left, huge waterfall visible from the road). This is a very narrow, windy road with lots of commuter use so just be careful if you pull off of the side!”
“Free admission, wonderful displays of gems, minerals, fossils, and Indian artifacts. And yes, there is a gift shop! All this plus this is in our old Jail!”
“A short drive from The Old Campbell Farm, you can dig your own bucket of dirt from the side of the mountain and sift through it for rubies and sapphires.”
“Come in for a sandwich or hot meal for lunch and dinner. Some of the menu items are Shrimp, Oysters, Flounder, Catfish, BBQ, Chicken, Meatloaf, PoBoys, Sandwiches and Salads. ”
