Quintessential English Pub! Hobnails has open fireplaces inside, and plenty of spacious outdoor seating. Very friendly service and delicious Sunday roasts. They are under new management as of 2020, and locals are thrilled that the baker who made the baps for decades has returned. You can walk to Hobnails from Cider Mill Cottage, through fields via public foothpaths. One way is about 20 minutes. (River can send you clear directions if interested.)

Located just outside Alstone and within walking distance (approximately 15 to 20 minutes across the fields) the Hobnails is our local pub, with a large enclosed garden.
