2 min walk. Delicious hub of the neighborhood. Baked goods that make your knees weak. Soups, quiches, and their burrito is the best deal in town.
May Day is a neighborhood hub and the only place you can still get a $1 cup of coffee. It's got great baked goods [I love the almond croissant, our friends love the cinnamon rolls, and my folks always get the pan de chocolat when they're around].
Best Croissants in town, funky little joint, coffee, bread, light meals, budget friendly.
Close and convenient coffee shop with delicious yet inexpensive coffee and pastries. It will give you the true feel of this south Minneapolis neighborhood.
“3min walk. Lovely sunken park with a lake and lots of dog walking, picnicking, festivals etc.”
“10-12min walk. Funky and delicious. They are not afraid to offend with flavor. Locals. Lots of Veg/GF options.”
“Marla's is a casual Caribbean restaurant that has been featured on the Food Network. It's amazing, authentic, homemade flavorful food. But do NOT mess around with the spice level. "Medium" is good for most spice lovers (get their hot sauce on the side). Proceed at your own risk by ordering "spicy" here. No alcohol is served here. ”
“This is a neighborhood jewel. Vegetarians will be delighted by the choices.”
