Established in 2001, Tsunami is still a big wave washing through Clapham. Following a full refurbishment in April 2015, this flagship restaurant has brought its whole look up-to-date rivaling the best in Central London.
Modern space with banquettes and a bar with a floral design, serving Japanese food plus cocktails.
Tsunami serves up beautifully presented sushi, teriyaki, tempura and other Japanese crowd-pleasers in a gussied-up setting of wooden screens and luxurious leather seating. The cocktails flow, and welcoming international staff ensure that the experience is never intimidating.
Its an upmarket Japanese with delicious sushi and other Japanese foods. Great cocktails. Quite expensive.
“The Dairy’s menu, stockpiled with smoked eel, bone marrow and charred leaves, is happily seasonal, with an earnest but unpretentious nod to provenance. Here, Robin Gill has crafted the foundations of an institution. The £48 tasting menu is a must: expect dishes like mackerel, gooseberry and lovage; and truffled Baron Bigod, the much-loved Suffolk ‘brie’ that shouts for seeds and sourdough. Afterwards, stay for heady late-night cocktails. Recover with the impressive Sunday brunch.”
“Michelin star local restaurant. Why not try their amazing seasonal degustation menue.”
“Cozy wine shop where you can sip a glass of wine with small food such as toasties, olives, almonds, cheese and much more”
“Expect to taste both flavours and spices from the far corners of the world at Mommi where the cultures of Japan and South America collide for cocktails and cuisine that is ultimately ingenious. With a bar well versed in exotic tipples and lush liquors, their pisco packs a punch if you're looking for some original mixology. ”
