This has been our go-to for Indian. The Palak and Korma curries have been reliably excellent. The Pesto naan is really yums too!
Many restaurants on Thayer Street have come and gone but this one seems to have been around forever. Excellent and affordable Indian food.
In my opinion, some of the best Indian food in New England. Providence has many great Indian restaurants, but this one is tops.
“A nice walk off of Wickenden with views in all directions. Also an entry point to the New England Bike Path - a popular ride is from India Point in Providence to Independence Park in Bristol (14.5 miles). There are great views of Providence then salt marshes and coastline. ”

“If Indian Food is what you're into, not just snacks is the place. It's a bit further away than some of the other places, but their food is incredibly authentic, their staff is polite, the atmosphere is low-key, they almost always have a table for a group, and you can bring your own beer or wine. ”
“A speak easy behind the Faust restaurant in the Dean Hotel. Walk through Faust to the back and find a dark room with the best bartenders in Providence. The drinks are strong delicious concoctions that put you in a great mood. ”
“Consistently good Japanese food. Always a good crowd but not usually a long wait.”
