Great spot to start exploring Victoria's China Town. Lots of local boutique stores and places to eat in the area! Also be sure to check out some of the authentic Chinese home decor stores.

The Narrowest Alley in North American. Can you find it? Go to Union Coffee Shop for coffee and treats.

Fan Tan Alley—the narrowest street in the country and a side door to Canada’s oldest Chinatown! Named after the Chinese gambling game Fan-Tan, the alley was originally a gambling district with restaurants, shops, and opium dens. Comprised of more than a dozen locally owned shops, it offers a diverse and exciting shopping experience. Here you can find organic treats, homemade ice cream, matcha teas and gifts. You’ll discover vintage records, specialty umbrellas and canes, and stylish clothing ranging from yoga wear to comfortable imports. Accessorize with silver and locally made jewellery. Pamper yourself with natural bodycare products and metaphysical gifts, books and classes. Enjoy all this as you stroll through fascinating heritage architecture formed by a unique cultural history.

It is the narrowest street in North America. There are shops on both sides of the alley. It closed after 6 pm to protect its heritage houses.
