This park has a really nice beach area to the left of the concession stand. The dog beach is really nice too but you have a short hike to get to it. There's some really nice hiking trails there also. On the causeway leading to it you can put your jet skis in.

You take a ferry over to the island from Honeymoon island in Dunedin. It leaves in the morning and you can catch a ferry back when you want to return. There's some snacks and drinks available on the island at the snack bar but I'd bring a cooler with your own stuff too and don't forget the sunscreen. It's 21 miles South of here.
