This brewery on the Funenkade produce all the draft beer for tasting. Its 3 min by bus, 15 minutes by foot from the apartment. Brewery 't IJ makes there own brew their own beer and makes there own special bottles of beer.
Natte, Zatte, Columbus, Struis, Plzen, Ijwit and Ijbok are some name's of the beers the serve. I could recommend the Natte and please also order their Abdijkaas, also know as paterskaas. It's specially made by an abdijkaasmakerij and very taste full in combination with the beers this brewery serve.

In the 1980s, squatters, artists and the homeless had taken over many of the buildings in the area. Personally I like the sumatrakade the most, as specially by night.
