Great little coffee shop with a nice regular menu (Bee's Knees, anyone?), and seasonal specialty drinks, like the Maple Spice in fall. They have a tasty selection of bagels and yogurt bowls for breakfast. My favorite is the Salmon bagel with capers... yum!

Unique, old country store with good food and great shakes. Their cheeseburger is one of the best in the county. Cool tidbit: the store was founded in 1892 by my ancestor, W.M. Johnson, and the World Pig Championship (an indigenous card game) takes place here annually.

Brooks' is a great old store with tons of history. It used to be a post office and a general store. It is currently run by a descendant of the original owner. All kinds of original items don the walls and shelves, including a stuffed parrot that used to greet people at the store years ago! The best fried bologna sandwich in the state can be had here (it's true, they voted on it and everything) as well as hoop cheese sliced on an ancient cutter. They sell almost any kind of sandwich at reasonable prices and hand-cut, homemade fries.

Honeycreek Overlook offers one of the best views of the Big South Fork River. It's a short walk from the parking area to the viewing area. The drive to the parking area is a little rough on gravel roads, but well worth it.

Northrup Falls is a beautiful waterfall at the end of a short hike down a sometimes dangerous trail. There are areas of the trail where there is a drop off on one side and slick rocks to climb over. However, once you reach the bottom, it's fine. There is a small pool that is great for swimming, and some rocks that you can climb up to jump off into the water.

This park includes Sgt. York's Homeplace, the old Grist Mill, a playground & picnic area, the burial site of Sgt. York and his wife, and a small museum/visitor's center. Great place to have a picnic, let the kids get in the water or play on the playset, tour the homeplace, and walk the dog.
