Don't book at the restaurant, rather drop by the greenhouse - which does not take bookings - and join the queue for a table. Also drop by the tasting room, which has "snack plates" large enough for lunch for two.

The Fynbos (the region where Cape Town sits) is a biologically unique region, and many of the plants that flourish here do not grow anywhere else in the world. The Tea Room inside the gardens has lovely meals and drinks.. Picnics + reading on the lawns are also great.

A popular stop for hikers to start out on their excursions, this vista has also attracted some top wineries and restaurants.. If you're just stopping by, walk over to Beau Constantia for a glass of wine and some gorgeous views.
