Great local coffee shop, and in walking distance. They make their own cardamom syrup, it's great! They have small food like pastries, and small sandwiches and burritos.

Want an excuse to take a Washington State Ferry? Hop on the Seattle/Bainbridge boat and head on over to Bainbridge Island. You don't need a car. You can walk off the boat and into downtown Bainbridge which is really small but lots of great restaurants and shops. If you like biking, you can bike across the on the boat and ride around the island, a very popular thing to do.

While there you should definitely go to Fort Worden State Park, a former military base that is super fun to explore.
