Derreen Gardens covers more than 60 acres of Gardens. It has beautiful walks. The garden is full of rare and exotic plants. Derreen is particularly known for its collection of rhododendrons.

This park is described as a "beautiful 19th century woodland garden with paths winding through rare topical plants and opening onto sea views". The area is 60acres and the scenery is incomparable. Located in Killmackillogue Harbour, 18km (21 minute drive) from the residence.

A drive up the Healy Pass is well worth it on the way to these lovely gardens. A few kilometres along the coast road , there is a lovely pub in place called Kilmacalogue where you can get lovely bar Bar food while sitting on the pier.
