The bluffs are a block from your studio. They include a eucalyptus grove with seasonal butterflies. But there's much more to see beyond the grove! The beach and bluffs are home to many birds. The ocean has seals, dolphins, and seasonal gray whales.

Wonderful spot to see hundreds / thousands of Monarch butterflies from mid-November through mid-February. Even without the butterflies, the preserve is a great place to hike, mountain bike and take in the awesome views. There is beach access as well.

Monarchs are usually found in Goleta from mid-November through mid-February and our docents are available on weekends from 11am-2pm during these months. there is no admission fee.
