Located in Gia Sinh commune, Gia Vien district, Bai Dinh is the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with an area of 700 hectares. This pagoda has been granted with 12 national records by Vietnam Record Books, they are: largest bronze bell (36 tons); highest and heaviest gilded bronze statue of Buddha Sakyamuni (10m high, 100 tons); largest set of three gilded bronze statues of Buddha: The Past, the Present, the Future (9,57m high, 100 tons); largest pagoda well; largest bronze statue of Quan Yin Buddha… In addition, there are many other works which are also very mighty, meticulous and impressive such as Tam Quan (the Entrance) that is made of wood, 13m wide and 16.5m high; Bell-tower was built in octagonal architecture similar to a lotus flower (18 m high, 17m in diameter), containing a 36 tons bronze bell and a 72 tons bronze drum. In particular, Bai Dinh is one of several places in Vietnam where hosts 6 sarira pearls, precious treasures of Buddha.

Bai Dinh Pagoda is very beautiful and peaceful place where you must go. Especially, this pagoda opens until 9pm, so it might be very nice stop of the day without noise. From 6:30pm all the light will turn on, which makes your time unique.

Chua Bai Dinh is a colorful Buddhist temple complex that is located on a scenic hill close to Ninh Binh town. The temple was built in 2014 and has quickly become one of the top attractions in the area. The entrance leads to walkways which are lined with 500 stone arhats (images of enlightened Buddhists) and inside you will find the Phap Chu Pagoda which extends over some three tiers. There is also a bronze Buddha inside which weighs 100 tones and is 10 meters high as well as two smaller gilded Buddhas. This place will also usually on the rout of a Ninh Binh tour, which you can find easily on the internet or tourism counter in the old quartar.

It's an impressive building of Buddhism, the largest temple in Vietnam and also in Southeast Asia, owns a lot of records: Largest bronze Buddha in Southeast Asian: 100 ton statue outside; the largest bell Vietnam: Great bell weighs 36 tons in the Bell Tower.
