Kayaking and tubing adventures down the Shennandoah River

Ride the river on a Jackson Regal kayak. All trips depart daily, rain or shine. Our trip is 7 miles along the scenic Shenandoah River where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and be sure to look for wildlife along the way! Beginning in Elkton, you will paddle downstream, encountering 6-8 Class I rapids. You will spend approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours on the water. The trip ends at the boat landing in Shenandoah, and then we transport you back to Massanutten Resort. This trip is great for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. All trips include transportation, safety and river orientation, as well as kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. Kayaking trips are seasonal and depart daily from the Massanutten Resort, as weather and river conditions permit. The cost for this trip is $39.99 per person. Whether you'd like to kayak, canoe, or float in a tube; Massanutten River Adventures will make it happen. A bus will take you from Massanutten to the beautiful Shenandoah river and pick you up when you're all done. This is a great way to experience the lovely mountains and nature here in the Valley!

We haven't done a trip with this Resort partner company for years but they have been in business forever, and we regularly see their buses, in season, on the road to start or end a trip -- pulling canoes, kayaks, or big yellow tubes. The headquarters is just a few minutes drive from us. Tubing is a 2.5 mile run; that's twice as far as the 'other' local river company but costs only a bit more -- but it also takes twice as long, 3-5 hours (which might be two times more than you wish!)
