Just 5 km from Cessnock CBD, the Kitchener Village boasts a park with some punch! A great playground, flying fox, dam that you can picnic by or walk around, southern “beach” to play in and history galore. The epic Poppet and details of this old mining town are really interesting. The pub (no dogs) is a beauty with a surprisingly good bistro is 200 metres away. Us adults usually go there and have a quiet drink whilst we wait for our (older) kids to finish playing. A great and cheap afternoon.
