It's one of the best in the area for taking the kids. But only in the morning. In the afternoon it is quiet, without running around or water pistols. It has surveillance, tents for rent, a bar right on the sand and a historical side that is also important to underline: the Memory Obelisk was built to remember the Landing of Mindelo, in 1832. The first stone was cast on December 1, 1840, but the obelisk was only completed 24 years later. HOW TO GET THERE: Exit 10 of the A28 (Perafita) is the ideal route from Porto.

La plage de mémoire est une plage drapeau bleu, et a également des bateaux de patrouille, postes de guet, maître nageur, parking, restaurants et cafés, la toile et des cabines sanitaires. The beach of Memory is a blue flag beach, and also has patrol boats, lookout posts, lifeguard, parking, restaurants and cafes, canvas and sanitary cabins.
