A short trip north of Dornoch will bring you to Golspie. Along with Dunrobin Castle, Ben Bhraggie is a fantastic hike and possesses an incredible view of the Dornoch Firth and East Sutherland. Walk it anytime...no such thing as bad weather....just the wrong clothes! You meet the statue of the infamous Duke of Sutherland.

If your feeling energetic a climb to the Monument at the top is well worth it on a sunny clear day as the views are spectacular. Its also home the the wildcat mountain bike trails.

You can read about this walk and many other wonderful walks on the walkhighlands website. It is near to the National Nature Reserve of Loch Fleet, near Little Ferry and another wonderful beach. Fish and Chip shop in Golspie is great too!
