Idaho's oldest penitentiary offers a great chance to explore the past of a state who's history is generally nationally accepted as ambiguous. "The Old Pen" is commonly regarded to be haunted and was featured on Ghost Adventures via the Travel Channel. If you enjoy the haunting chill of an unseen presence relentlessly gazing at you from the dark whilst you try and mitigate your goosebumps then this is your stop. It is also right next to Table Rock which offers the best view of Boise bar none and is accessible via hiking or a quick drive. Have no qualm about it, this venture will be a good time.

Nice tour and very near Table Rock. You could take the tour, hike Table Rock with a picnic and enjoy the city view.
