This a beautiful and well - groomed trail that undulates all the way around Granite Mtn for a 4-5 miles. There are some longer routes that you can veer off on. One of my favorite, local trails. Quiet and peaceful and still nearby!

Bring water and plan on at least a three hour long hike if you want to circle the mountain. Park closes at dark. Watch out for rattlesnakes and follow trail rules which are posted.

The trail is well maintained, and the incline is easy for beginner hikers.

Make sure you have lots of water, and if you go around the whole circle, it will take you at least 3 hours. Make sure you look out for rattlesnakes, and you follow the trail rules. Park is closed at night.

about 4 miles from the ranch, equestrian area for horses and trailers, great way to access the preserve, incredible scenery
