The bakery across the street from Melabúðin. It’s a sourdough bakery, with high quality bread and other baked goods. If you would like to try some Icelandic sweets from them, we recommend buying “vínarbrauð”. During the weekend they have a selection of buns (cinnamon, vanilla, blueberry, etc) that we also recommend.

Baruð og co is one of the most popular bakeries in Reykjavik and has great bread and sweets all made with sourdough. Sometimes you can also buy frozen bread in slices at half the price. It opens early and closes at 5 pm and is next door to the Café Vest- and only 5 min walk from the flat
