The shopping passage, popularly called 'de Koopgoot', runs right under the Coolsingel. The traverse connects two important shopping streets, the Lijnbaan and the Hoogstraat, via the underground metro station Beursplein. The interior of the cross was designed by Jon Jerde, the American guru of fun shopping.

All the shops. It's the epic center of shopping in Rotterdam. All streets leading here are shopping streets, too. (Koopgoot is a made up word by the people of Rotterdam. It means buy-gutter. )
