The Fox Theatre is a performing arts center. It was built in 1928 and opened as a movie palace. Now it is a hot spot for live shows in the heart of the entertainment district.
“A great place to grab a coffee and bagel before getting on the People Mover across the street (across John R that is).”
“Worthwhile to check out a Tigers game while youre in town if they have a game!”
“Great mid-sized theatre in the heart of downtown Detroit. Many great up & coming or bigger name bands and acts play shows here. Great neighborhood for getting dinner or drinks before & after the show.”
“Incredible live music venue. Built in the 1920's, Cliff Bell's saw the roaring 20's and was a part of the burgeoning scene in the Paris of the West. Mahogany detailing and vintage crescent booth seating, this venue laid dormant and was re-opened with much applause later in the century. It is now a great scene for live music and wonderful entertainment.”
