If you will travel by Cedar City on your way to the home stop and hike Kanarraville falls. You could also do this combined with a day trip to Bryce.
This slot canyon hike is so beautiful and unique it has been featured on National Geographic! The hike starts in Kanarraville which is an 18 minute drive south of Cedar City. Plan to walk up the river the entire hike. Appropriate shoes are a must! It's gorgeous and a great summer trip. You can hike…
Awesome hike! Would recommend water shoes. There are multiple ladders that you will climb. It is very pretty but it can be a little tricky in a few parts
I've been hiking Kanarraville Falls since I was a little girl. Gorgeous day hike, through a stream. Rock water slides for kids. Plan ahead, get a permit. Wear good shoes that can get wet. Take snacks and a towel.
“Fancy ranch style dining a bit more pricey but delicious food! Great place to go when you are headed up Cedar Mountain. Only 12 miles away!”
“About 2 hours from St. George but worth the Views. You will be over 9000 feet in elevation so a light jacket may be needed but the views are worth the drive.”
“An amazing collection of historical petroglyphs from the Native Americans. ”
“Love the forest and there is great fishing at Duck Creek and the small lakes and streams around there. The colored leaves in the Fall are just Beautiful and the snow is spectacular. Many people love to snowmobile and ski in the meadows around there. There are some snowmobile rentals in Duck Creek Village. In Summer the forest is a great place to beat the heat. Good place to have picnics and to look at the wildlife.”
