Goat Rock Beach
My absolute favorite hike in the Bay, Goat Rock Beach is dog-friendly and off leash. Bring something warm incase the fog is slow to burn off. Other hikes around the beach are flat for miles, incredible views, deer, and hawks - (leash your dog for these areas so they don't chase the local deer). This…
Iconic spot for walking the ocean and seeing the majestic Goat Rock and CA Coast.
“A dining experience. They don't take reservations. If you are not fond of queues, then try to arrive before 6:30pm or after 9:30pm to get a table. Between that time frame you will probably have to wait for a while to get a seat. Which is not a total bummer because right next door you have a nice bar to get drinks while you wait :) At "El Barrio". Try "El Picaro" and let us know your thoughts ;)”
“A short drive from Guerneville. A gorgeous family-owned winery in a beautiful setting. We suggest sipping a drink of Californian champagne or wine tasting while overlooking the vineyards. They run tours daily too, when they show their facilities. Worth it! korbel.com”
“We bring all our friends here! It’s a 30 minute drive along river road to the coast, offering fantastic views of the river along the way! Cafe aquatica is on the Russian River estuary, so often there are seals swimming around and wonderful bird life to see. Once you have filled your belly at cafe aquatica, it’s time to venture up or down the coast for a stunningly beautiful beach day! ”
“Perfect stop for a glass of wine, brunch or sunset dinner at the beach. Amazing views of where the Russian River meets the ocean.”
“A humbling experience. Take a relaxing walk among some of the most majestic trees one may ever encounter in their lives. Meet Colonel Armstrong: 1400 years old and counting.”
