So my bro, Riley, and I rolled in this place last summer just ripped up from the night before...it was 204 degrees Fahrenheit outside, and we sat down in the 103 degree restaurant and had one of the most amazing egg hoagies ever...nothing wrong with some dudes at the breakfast bar, chatting away with their buttcracks hanging out. I have a photo of that in my phone somewhere...so then we strolled out into the increasingly oppressive heat realizing that we may have had the most amazing breakfast experience in the world...I mean it's not eating Dim-Sum for breakfast while watching wind sweep across the South China Sea and a sampan going over the horizon revealing the curvature of the Earth, but it's dang close.

South Philly at its best, Brunics is a greasy spoon without any of the grease. The food is simple — typical to that of any neighborhood luncheonette, but at Brunics, it just tastes better.

An old classic diner. All breakfast items are inexpensive ($3.50-$5).

Greasy counter service with a smile! Great for a cheap breakfast while interacting with South Philly locals.
