The gorge named Katafiki connects Ermioni with the village Fourni. Both villages are places with archeological interest. Ermioni named from Pafsanias for the elaboration of porfyra shells and Fourni the nearest village to the Paleolithic cave and the underwater city recently found from archeologists.

Το μαγευτικό Καταφύκι, το φαράγγι των μύθων, συνδέει την Ερμιόνη μέσα από μια παραδεισένια διαδρομή, με το γραφικό χωριό Φούρνοι. Βρίσκεται 5-6 χλμ βοριοδυτικά της Ερμιόνης. Το φαράγγι είναι γεμάτο πεύκα, δάφνες, λυγαριές και μυρτιές. Το μικρό μονοπάτι ήταν ένας από τους αρχαίους δρόμους που ένωνε τον Μάσητα με την Ερμιόνη. Στην έξοδο του φαραγγιού με την Ερμιόνη υπάρχει το εκκλησάκι του Αγίου Νικόλα, χτισμένο το 1740,διατηρητέο μνημείο μεταβυζαντινών χρόνων. Προσφέρεται για αναρρίχηση αλλά και για ένα πολύ όμορφο περπάτημα ανάμεσα σε πυκνή βλάστηση και τρεχούμενα νερά. Αν το ξεκινήσετε από το αναρριχητικό πεδίο θα βρείτε στο δρόμο σας ένα παλιό ιστορικό γεφύρι και θα καταλήξετε στο χωριό Φούρνοι.
