Many places to choose from this is a typical Mexican style food court extravaganza my fave is Loncheria Zulema. One can also buy fresh produce, artwork, and trinkets made in Mexico. Open 6 days a week 7 am to 5 pm. Closed Wed and open until 3 pm on Sunday.

The SJD Public Market is actually a great cultural experience. You can go there and have an inexpensive Mexican breakfast or lunch in any number of small diners in the 'food court' ($-). The adjacent market building houses little booths selling trinkets & nick-nacks, leather goods, fresh seafood, groceries, cheeses and meats.

If you want to go very local, this is the place. Numerous stalls selling meat and fish, and everything else.
