Family zoopark Briefly about Na Hrádečku Zoo Na Hrádečku Zoo, as you know it, was created today by the efforts and diligence of two enthusiasts, who were united by love for animals. Originally, however, they wanted to stay only with hobby breeding. Over time, however, the number of animals began to increase, and so a zoo began to form. In 2011, an imaginary cornerstone was laid and it all started. The family house with a garden (original farmhouse) with adjoining buildings has been transformed to its present form. At present, we have been a private licensed zoo with an area of 10 ha since 2016, located between the villages of Dolní and Horní Pěna near Jindřichův Hradec. Here you will find over 200 species of animals that are classified as endangered species and are protected by CITES. You will meet lions, hyenas, wolves, primates, parrots, owls, but also reptiles and amphibians. We cooperate with zoos not only in the Czech Republic but also in Europe. We participate in conservation projects. We try to educate the general public on nature conservation issues, for example through guided tours. We are also involved in legislative changes that concern animal protection. There is always something going on in our country and new things are being added, but also new animals. For children we have a playground with many play elements. In the meantime, parents can enjoy a coffee with a dessert at the snack bar, which follows the playground.
