Pleasant stroll to this English pub which serves great beer and food. Outside seating in summer. Great place to stop after a walk along the canal.

A restaurant (more than a pub) that offers an excellent take on traditional British food. Pricier than some of the closer options, but worth the money and the walk for a nice meal. It's a handsome Victorian pub with well-kept beer - in the summer the patio's good for a pint, but as a destination this is a place for a meal rather than a cosy drink.
