Gruene, TX was a historic town settled in the 1850's. In addition to wonderful restaurants, you will find antique stores, upscale boutiques, a fly fishing store, and much more.

The ribs are awesome! Great chicken fried steak, fish is very tasty. Be sure to ask for eating by the river. Nice. In Winter ask for one near the fireplace.

Great food in a cute historic town with a great view of the river. Lots of great shops to check out, plus the historic dance hall (one of the oldest in TX).

Feel like a treehouse restaurant right on the river, southern favorite dishes along with great drinks and casual ambiance makes this a great post river spot to sate your appetite!
