This is the oldest operating post office in the country. There is a plaque commemorating the original white settlers, The Kaweah Colony. Inside the post office are the original PO boxes and a book trading library.

This tiny and historic post office is located along North Fork Drive. It is worth the stop if you are interested in the history of the area.

This post office was constructed by residents of Kaweah in 1910 as a permanent location for mail for those in the Kaweah Colony. The Post office is open to the public and still be used today.

Founded by the utopian Kaweah Co-operative Colony, this is one of the USA's smallest and oldest still-operating post offices, now staffed by volunteers. Visitors can peer inside at any time of day to see the original details and ornate mail boxes. It's just 2.2 miles from our property.
