Features the remnants of an Old Sugar Mill that was built here in the early 19th century. The structure was made of Florida Coquina and was apparently raided by the Seminole Tribe in their war with the United States. For history buffs, this is a must see and the property is 17 acres in total.
Awesome short hiking trail through natural Florida woods. Has some unique plants, such as Jack in the Pulpit and wild violets that blooms in spring. The ruins and history are interesting. Great place to park and eat lunch. Quiet get away park in New Smyrna, a hidden gem. Beautiful woods. It does have mosquitos during warm months. Bug repellent highly recommended during those times.
