This two-screen cinema is really popular for programming auteur films and classic movies in their original versions. It’s been screening great films since 1996, even though it had to close for a while in 2011 due to a fire. You can always count on it to have something interesting. They don’t sell popcorn. But you don’t need it—the programming invites you to focus on the screen with no other distraction than the movie itself.

Ciné Melies is a two-screen art-house cinema in uptown Barcelona. It shows both international and local films. International films tend to be the more quirky end of current films.

Cinemes Méliès named after the father of French cinema, Georges Méliès, is a suberb little VO cinema which shows 4 movies at a time on their two screens.
