MOSSEL BAY HISTORIC WALK Put on your walking shoes and discover the historical buildings and facts in the Old Quarter of Mossel Bay. You can pick up a map at the Mossel Bay Tourism office that will mark all the historical buildings along Mossel Bay's Historic Walk. Some of the buildings you will see include churches, schools, homes, municipal and commercial buildings as well as the Cape St Blaize Lighthouse all of which were built between 1830 and 1900. You may also come across an unusual type of terrace housing which was built in 1909. St. Blaize Terrace was refurbished and revamped in 1986. Many of the stone masons that built these intriguing buildings were originally from Cornwall and during the second part of the 19th century decided to settle here. There is a lot to explore and a fascinating amount of history to learn on this enjoyable walk.
